Dewdrops and lily pads

I’ve walked,

I’ve walked, and wandered,

I’ve tested the water

And drank the wine.

Washed my hair

In the petals and clovers

Of aphrodisiacs

Made by Gods,

For those who long,

And those who yearn.

Waist deep in the water

With lily pads floating,

Tiny frogs leaping

On tiny leaves of tiny plants

Dewdrops dance

On the water.

The mist,

Heavy on my lashes,

Water streaming down my face,

I lie back

Floating silently

Concocting majestic fantasies.
