Being vulnerable means your weak.
Being vulnerable means you have a chink in your armor; you have a lame spot in your defenses.
Vulnerable equals bad.
This logic makes sense in battle. You need to present strength and make sure that your weaknesses don’t get exploited. When your vulnerabilities are exposed it means you may lose the battle because you let the enemy in.
A great strategy in war does not translate into a great strategy in love.
Relationships are about letting people in. They are about leaving yourself wide open to being hurt. Sharing scary things about yourself leaves you exposed. But sharing scary things about yourself can bring you closer to people, strengthening relationships.
When it comes to love vulnerability is an asset, it is a strength. It takes courage to be open.
