You’re in charge

I was an only child.  I heard stories from my friends about how when their parents went out, they got to be in charge of things.  You know take care of their little brother or sister.  It always sounded so cool to have someone give you the power to run the house and be in charge of people.  Of course, I’ve also heard the stories from the little brothers and sisters who thought their older sibling was an idiot who was on a power trip whenever, they got put in charge.

Maybe it isn’t as cool as I think.
